An evening craving window is a useful place to plan your snack if that is when your day usually becomes harder to follow. Keep regular dinner and give the later snack its own considered portion instead of grazing without a plan.
If your plan suggests an earlier snack, use it as a timing experiment: notice whether it suits your hunger and evening routine. There is no universal rule that eating after 9 PM makes food harmful or guarantees weight gain. Shift work, bedtime and meal timing differ.
If you are hungry at night repeatedly, review whether the day included enough food and whether the gaps were too long. Do not force yourself to go hungry to follow a clock time.
